The Use of a Programmable
Temperature Vaporizer in the Thermal Desorption Mode for the Quantitative Analysis
of Airborne Volatiles
A. Samman and S. Grant Wyllie
A Tenax packed trap constructed from a programmable temperature vaporizer
(PTV) injection liner was used to collect volatiles that were subsequently analyzed
by thermal desorption in the PTV directly into a gas chromatography column.
The limits of detection and quantitation, range, and linearity of the method
were evaluated using BTEXs as test materials.
