An Improved Gas Chromatographic Method for the Determination of Perfluorocarbon Tracers in the Atmosphere
R.J. Lagomarsino

A method for the quantitative determination of perfluorocarbon tracers in atmospheric samples with a fused-silica capillary column is described. The analytical method, modifications to the gas chromatograph, improvements in the separation of the atmospheric tracer compounds, and enhancements in the sensitivity of detection are discussed. Atmospheric background concentrations of the tracers and the precision of their collection and anaGlysis are given.
